As of Friday, November 30th, we officially have reached our 30th week and are only 10 short weeks away from baby's due date!! This week holds a special spot because on Thursday, December 6th, we get to have our 4D ultrasound performed at Greenville OBGYN! If you already love Lucas as much as we do (and we know you all do!) then you will enjoy the pictures from the ultrasound just as much as we will!
The reason this is so special to us is because it will be our first glimpse into what Lucas will look like! If we are lucky with him being positioned just right, we will get to see facial features. I have thought for 30 weeks - well, let's be honest, I thought about him before he was even conceived! - about his eyes, fingers, nose, and toes, and cannot wait to get an idea of what our little one will look like (and I'm officially now tearing up just thinking about it.) Hormones. Ugh!
This little boy already holds such a huge piece of my heart in his not-even-fully-developed hands. He is going to be special in so many people's eyes, and it will be a joy to share his sweetness with all of our family and friends. I have already learned so much just by being pregnant with him. I can say that I feel Dee and I are truly prepared. We may not make every decision correctly. We will make mistakes and will do things differently than the next parents. But I know one thing, everything we will do will be with our baby's best interest in the forefront of our mind, and that will never change.
I know I talk a lot about ME!, but this pregnancy would not have been as perfect as it has been without Dee by my side. He has listened to me complain, cry, and laugh, and has watched me get confused, turn around into walls, and run around sometimes like a chicken with my head cut off. He doesn't ask questions and he doesn't make me feel crazy (even though at times I'm sure he thinks I am!) He knows exactly what to say and has remained the rock that I can lean on when I feel like I am falling apart. I cannot wait for Lucas to learn from him, and having a little version of Dee around the house will be easy for me to enjoy : )
We look forward to sharing pictures with you in the week to come!
30 down, 10 to go!
