Projects in the Process

Here are a couple of projects I am in the process of working on thanks to Pinterest inspiration! I am so glad Pinterest showed up before planning our wedding because between the wedding and the baby, it has surely kept me busy!

I got this on Belle Chic for our family. Its cute!!

I loved this idea as soon as I saw it! The first date is my birthday, the second is Dee's birthday, the third will be our wedding day, and the fourth date will be the baby's date of birth. At the bottom is says "What a diffrence a day makes!" And isn't this so true?!! I have already made it and saved it to my computer so after baby E gets here, all I have to do is plug in the actual date (because we all know due dates are not accurate!) and print!

So beautiful.

This is another project that is obviously a work in progress! Only the first picture has been taken so far, but, God willing, the other two will come soon enough! Gah, I'm ready to kiss my baby's face!!

Crib purchase!

We are so excited about our crib that we got today! We originally went to Kids Room in Greenville, but between the glider that we wanted and the crib, we were not willing to spend what was asked for them both. We decided to try online and found a reasonable offer from a crib outlet website. For the glider we had to pick out a fabric in which the website did not provide the options. I googled Best Chairs fabric swatches and H. Stadium in Kinston showed up as selling those chairs. We hopped in the car and rode to Kinston. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to find they had not only the chair we wanted for $50 cheaper, but Dee found the exact crib that we wanted (there were only about 8 to pick from)! This crib was $150 cheaper than what we were going to buy online because it was their last one! We picked out a chair pattern and bought the chair with a matching ottoman and the crib that we just love! I know that I will spend many days and nights watching this precious child sleep in this crib, as well as rock him/her 'many miles' as my grandad would say (thanks Mom for sharing that memory with me.)

Here is a picture of the chair we bought which will arrive in about 8 weeks! We got the faric in the color named "putty" and it's somewhat of a gray with dark gray swirls! I'll post pictures as soon as it comes in!

Stats for for Week 16!!

Well we have reached week 16! Here are a few stats about baby, me, and anything else going on this week!
Baby's size: This week, baby E is the size of an avocado! He/she is about 4 1/2 inches long and weighs a whopping 3 ounces!!
Total weight gain: 8 lbs. I officially weigh more than I ever have in my life and it's only going up from here! I'm going to make sure that little one gets all the nutrition it needs!
Sleep: I am starting to not sleep as comfortably on my stomach which is a bummer! I'm doing good lying on my back and sides. But, I better enjoy it while I can before I have to stick to just my left side for mine and the baby's sake!
Maternity Clothes: I have bought some really cute clothes that I should be able to wear right through my pregnancy! Thanks to www.motherhoodmaternity.com, www.ingridandisabel.com, and www.sweetpeamaternity.com, I will be able to continue my "diva status" even up to 9 months!
Food cravings: Sweets! Cupcakes, brownies, cookies, Laffy Taffy! The sweets have taken over!
Movement: I can say that I can feel a little "butterfly fluttering" in my belly! Nothing as big as a kick, but a little feeling that makes my heart smile : )
Best moment of the week: Waking up to coffee which is fixed each night before bed by my sweet and always considerate husband, as well as a cute note that made me so proud to call myself his wife!

What I'm looking forward to: After having dreams about the baby, I am just looking forward to seeing the baby for the first time and holding its sweet little feet and hands in mine! And, babies always have that delicious smell, and I'm ready to snuggle with our little butterbean!
What I miss: Well, I'm not ashamed to say I do miss an occasional glass of wine or cocktail, but, it's nothing that can't wait until after February 8th! Many doctors say a glass of wine is okay, and if other mommies to be do this, it is perfectly fine with me! But for me, I'm going to gladly go without!

I'll leave you with a few pictures of the ever-growing belly :)

Nursery Inspiration

We have been looking alot at different nursery themes, paint colors, and fun decorations! It's fun to shop around, but somewhat difficult seeing as we don't know if it will be a boy or a girl! Here are some nursery inspirations pulled from pinterest!

Fav one so far for baby Lancaster

What I love most abotu this is the monogram and the diamond pattern on the wall! While the colors remain neutral, the accent wall really makes the room special.

baby girl room

Again, the accent walls are beautiful! I think doing a combination of pink and blue is a good change from the standard one or the other!

I like the floral M.

We loooove the gray and pink together! We are most leaning toward this style, but would want the pink more of a raspberry color than this bubble gum pink.

LOVE this quote! Guess I'm going to need to have another baby! :)

This quote is definitely going in the wall somewhere in the nursery!

End of the first trimester!!

Well, we have successfully made it through the first trimester! I was so blessed not to have to suffer with morning sickness and am beyond grateful for that! Everyone knows I have a very hearty appetite, and it seems that nothing can stop this! I have gained 4 lbs in my first trimester and the OBGYN said no more than 5 so I am right on target! I am excited to eventually start growing a little belly but it will come soon enough! I have appreciated everyone's concern, well wishes, and excitement and cannot wait for the days to come! Baby E continues to go easy on me and our love for him/her grows immensely with every passing day! We talk to the baby all of the time and my excuse for a dessert after every meal is "but the baby asked for it!" We are in the process of planning a gender reveal party for September 9th which will be given to us by one of my beat friends Hannah Carroll. More on this to come in the next post! I will leave you with a picture of the little booties that Dee and I bought this weekend. We couldn't hold out any longer and just had to buy something!!
